Which Reality Are You Experiencing?

2 Ways

thought-bubbleI’ve noticed that in this place of duality, there are 2 ways to do, be or have everything, because we have 2 states of being. We are either Aware of our bigger picture, or we are submersed in unnoticed, unexamined thoughts and beliefs.

The Messenger

Realization, spiritual awakening with Gina Charles

Luckily, the messenger of  feel-bad shows up unfailingly, to help wake us up out of our complete association to thought.

Wake Up!

Conscious expansion, our reality vs. actual Reality, spiritual awakening with Gina Charles.

Today I intend to notice the messenger of feel-bad, and recognize it as a tap on the shoulder to help wake me up to the Reality of my bigger picture. Here’s to a sunny day, without the shades. ;P

What is Awakening and Authentic Living?

thought10

The Human Experience

Here we are, floating in and around

each others lives. We experience this place,

and each other, from within a world of our

own. A world confined to overlooked,

unexamined and unnecessary thought. The

good news is, we can trade all this for an

Authentic life experience.

What Awakening Is Not

  • Awakening is not about adding a spiritual label to a personality.

  • Awakening is not about becoming enlightened.

  • Awakening is not about getting, making, building or collecting anything, even information.

  • Awakening is not about changing your life to get the things the thinking mind wants.

Thought, Authentic living, spiritual growth and awakening with Gina Charles

What the thinking mind

wants is to enhance its identity,

and strengthen the box.

What Awakening Is

  • Awakening is the experience of the separation of thought and Self.

  • Awakening is the falling away of that which no longer serves.

  • Awakening is becoming your true Self and discovering life purpose.

  •  Awakening is the ability to recognize our Truths.

  • Awakening is the ability to recognize feel-bad experiences as opportunities for Conscious expansion.

  • Awakening is the intrinsic ability to identify unconsciousness and head it off at the pass. (Unconsciousness: to be submersed in unnoticed, unexamined thought and rote behavior that keeps us stuck.)

  • Awakening is waking up to find that you could do the thing that you couldn’t do. You notice that you are not sad, anxious, or angry anymore. You know peace and freedom, beyond the concept.

  • Awakening is discovering that you can step out of pain and suffering.

What Is Authentic Living

When I honor my Truths, I flow with the current of my highest good. This is Authentic living. Authentic living facilitates Awakening or Conscious expansion.

Over time, my efforts toward self-growth and healing have evolved into a 4-point foundational practice. I flow emotion, exercise unconditional acceptance, am the eyewitness to thought and emotion, and I practice lucidity (perceiving, with little to no mental commentary).

These practices have been the precursor to  powerful realizations that have offered a way out of pain and suffering, and the clarity of a new way to have this human adventure.

FUEL is for anyone, anywhere, anytime. I share it with you here:

FUEL

F – Flow emotion
Today I will live my life from the inside out.

U – Accept Unconditionally
Today I will make reality my friend and teacher.

E – Be the Eyewitness
Today I will be the eyewitness to thought, so that I may discard those that do not serve.

L – Step into Lucidity
Today I will practice lucidity, so that I may connect to Guidance, Intuition and Life itself.

  • It’s time to evolve beyond the self-made identity, and to Awaken into that which we really are.

  • It’s time to go beyond the concepts, into higher Intelligence.

  • It’s time to start living in peace, abundance and joy, individually and globally.

It’s time to Awaken and live Authentically.

Develop Your Superpowers

Authentic living with Gina Charles, New thought

According to researches including the National Science Foundation, it is estimated that we have between 50,000 and 70,000 thoughts per day. That’s roughly 2,000 to 2,900 thoughts per hour, or 35 to 49 thoughts per minute. As remarkable as those numbers seem, I believe that for most of us those numbers are even higher. Maybe not back in the day of little houses on the prairie, but certainly in the day of real-time technology.

We think thoughts, apply reasoning, and formulate beliefs. The problem is that our thoughts and beliefs aren’t necessarily true, or in our highest good.

How many of the roughly 60,000 thoughts in your day are absolutely true?

How many of them are in your best interest?

How many are in the best interest of all?

Authentic Living with Gina Charles - are you the puppet to thought?

When I do not notice thought, it controls me. Imagine that, it controls me because I don’t notice it. The mind thinks, and I believe it without question, all day long, everyday. Some unmonitored thought has me on top of the world, and some of it has me hiding under the bed.

Developing the ability to notice thought is one of your superpowers.

Authentic living with Gina Charles - Noticing thought is your superpower.

Evolution Is Calling

Authentic living with Gina Charles, meditation, evolution, beyond mindfulness is Authenticity.

We are living at a time of evolutionary change.

We are on this ride at a minute to midnight. We will either awaken, or it’s likely we will experience a rough ride. It’s time to change our minds about a few things. Our evolution depends on it.

It’s time to evolve beyond the self-made identity, and to awaken into that which we really are. It’s time to go beyond the concepts, into higher intelligence. It’s time to start living in peace, abundance and joy, individually and globally.

Thought: Are You In The Box?

Thought, spiritual growth and awakening with Gina CharlesThought is the limitation within which I have this human experience. At first, that may be a slippery concept to grasp. Beyond the understanding that I can think, and fall immersed into thought, is the concept that I can step out of thought.

As long as I’m experiencing life from inside the box of thoughts, stories, beliefs, and mental conjecture, my happiness will be a temporary candy coating. Jumping out of the box is equivalent to gaining lucidity, or waking up to being present in the moment, outside of unneeded thought.

Lucidity is to be awake, or present within the silence of the mind. Jumping out of the box, gives my higher Self a direct connection to this playground we call life. This is the space from which authentic change and elation manifests.

EMPOWERMENT: Today I will be the eyewitness, so that I may jump out of the box of thought and connect with Guidance, higher Intelligence, and boundless possibility.

Awareness Rising

Authentic living and spiritual growth with Gina Charles

We see and experience our lives through the filters of our fear, history, beliefs, and learned behaviors.

We live this way because we were not taught there is an alternative. Living life unawares is painful. Living in Awareness, changes everything.

We don’t see the world as it is, we see it as we are. -Anais Nin

When we recognize thought as something

separate from Self, we are Awake.

We can then step outside of the limitations of thought,

into our own Awareness and boundless possibility.

It is here that we bloom

into our own Greatness.

Stay Awake with me.

EMPOWERMENT: Today I will be the eyewitness to thought.

I intend to wake up in the middle of my mind’s thinkity-think. I will witness thought, as if someone else had just said it. I will examine it, and discard those thoughts that do not serve my highest good. I have found my tools, and know how to use them.

Pulling The Plug On Anxiety

Healing anxiety, Authentic living and spiritual growth with Gina CharlesWhen my insides started ringing like the bells of a five-alarm fire, I didn’t know what was happening. That strong, engulfing feeling of anxiety rose up like a life-threatening wave, sweeping me away from the inside. The first time I experienced this, it took my breath away, literally.

The experience of anxiety comes in different forms and degrees, from pangs of uneasiness, to outright, full-blown panic attacks. For some, anxiety travels with us over the years. It is always uncomfortable, and sometimes experienced as extreme and unannounced. This causes us to live in fear, and avoidance.

Eventually the thinking mind says things like, This is just the way it is for me…This is just how I am… Just the way life is… I’m cursed… inflicted …. broken. This is the mind’s way of saying that it doesn’t know why it experiences anxiety, it only knows that it does.

The Constant

If living with occasional anxiety has become a way of life, even intermittently, there must be a constant. Some thing that allows, makes, beckons, invites, or creates the experience of anxiety, to any degree and frequency.

There must be a cause for the effect of anxiety.

When I stick my hand into an open flame, I have the experience of being burned. So, no matter how many ways fire can enhance my life, when I don’t recognize the truth of the moment, I can have a feel-bad experience. While fire is good, holding my hand in an open flame is not.

While thought is good, falling submersed in it is not. So, no matter how many ways thinking can enhance my life, when I don’t recognize the truth of the moment, I can have a feel-bad experience.

Living in unnoticed, unfounded, unexamined thinking is the prerequisite for the experience of anxiety.

Therein lies the constant: thinking, believing and rerunning triggered programs and reactions, over and over again, over the years. Different places, different faces, and underneath it all, the same constant of being submersed in unnecessary, feel-bad thought. This is why every so often this unrecognized speeding train stops at the same old station, Anxiety Alley.

“We can not solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them” -Albert Einstein

Autopilot Disengaged

There are 2 states of being. You are lucid, present in a mentally quiet moment, outside of the perpetual, unnoticed, unfounded, unexamined mental commentary. Or, you are sleepwalking, unconscious, or simultaneously having and believing unassessed thought.

You are either submersed in thought unawares, or you are witnessing it.

Is it difficult to stop doing what you have been doing on autopilot for so long? Sure, but no more difficult than the many other new things you’ve learned. Is it possible? You bet your life it is.

The mind is the ultimate computer. It is not only able to recognize its own programming, it is also capable of reprograming itself. When we wake up to this dynamic, AKA metacognitive thought, or the experience of the program recognizing itself, it puts us in a new position. A position of power. A position of authentic change.

Who said reprogramming is such a grueling task? The mind did. The mind jumps ahead and slaps down a decision without ever even knowing if what it’s saying is true. Can positive change be difficult? As the eyewitness to thought, I recognize the importance and specificity of questions. The question, “Can positive change be difficult?”, is a segue into unconsciousness.

The question is, how can positive, authentic change be easy, effortless, and dare I say, enjoyable?

Using Your Superpower

How can we bridge the gap between feeding anxiety and healing anxiety? How can we wake ourselves up when we are sleepwalking, submerged in unfounded, unnecessary thought? There is a practice that can bridge this gap. Being the eyewitness to thought.

Noticing thought is your superpower.

When we slow down the crazy train, we can bring it to a stop and arrive at authentic change, healing and peace. It all starts with this one concept, this one practice, this one intention. Intend and allow yourself to become the eyewitness to the mind’s thoughts.

Witness thought as if someone else had said it, and discard thoughts that are unkind to self, and those that do not serve. Refocus in lucidity, or redirect your attention to positive thought.

While the truth is always simple, it isn’t always easy. I’d rather make these small efforts than experience the tap on the shoulder called anxiety. Suffering is only inevitable in unconsciousness. Suffering is the byproduct of the mind’s unnoticed, unexamined, unfounded fear-based thinking.

Suffering is optional.

It’s only unnerving to fly without a net when you don’t know how to go with the flow. Start now. Start slow. Start small. Start. Intend to be the eyewitness to thought and its old programming of churning and burning. The question is not, Can you? The question is, Will you?

Intend to be the eyewitness to thought. Intend to let go of unnecessary thinking and step into the peace of a quiet mind. Intend to let self-kindness lead the way.

EMPOWERMENT: Anxiety is the internal roar of unconsciousness. I witness, accept, flow and awaken

Is The Universe Whispering In Your Ear?

You know how your mind is always talking inside your head? It asks questions, evaluates, and judges almost continually. It’s no wonder we attach to and fall unconscious into thought. Sometimes, to the detriment of our own good.

Listening for Guidance and self-empowerment

What if the Universe has been whispering in your ear all along?

What if the mind quieted down just long enough to recognize its own rambling?

When thought recognizes itself, discomfort falls away.

What if the mind quieted down just long enough to notice emotion as a messenger or sign post?

What excites my soul is really a sign post that says, “Keep Walking This Way.”

What if the mind quieted down just long enough to catch the magic carpet ride of inspiration?

Mental chaos keeps the muse at bay. Mental quietude invites the muse to play.

What if the mind quieted down just long enough?

We’d hear the Universe unfailingly whispering the way to our highest good.

EMPOWERMENT: Today I will be the eyewitness to thought and emotion.

Changing My World

FUEL Your Life, by Gina Charles, Empowering self-help for authentic living

In order for me to grow, or to free myself from painful misinterpretations, I must look inward. Understanding that the controls to this ride are on the inside, is the difference between temporary and permanent change. My thoughts and beliefs are the filters through which I have this human experience. Changing my mind, changes my world.

Finding My Pearl

There is change that we want, and there is change that we do not want. Of
course the more resistance that I exercise, the more difficult and uncomfortable
the situation becomes. That’s not to say that I shouldn’t act. If I respond to
change in anger or fear, I worsen my experience. This is my invitation to take
another shot at unconditional acceptance. I may not like what’s going on, but I
am able to accept that it exists.

I flow with the current of life. I accept and rejoice in opening the gifts of change.

Once I’m able to accept the isness of the moment, no matter how much I’d
rather stuff a sock in it, I empower myself. When I act out of inspiration rather
than resistance, the situation transforms itself. I know I’m acting out of
inspiration when I experience delivering my truths, with no malice or bad
feelings on my part. Once I find that pearl in the bag of poop, I no longer need
the bag of poop. I then recognize change working in my favor. If I don’t get the
gift of the lesson, I’m bound to repeat it until I do. Imagine how empowering it
is to make friends with change.

FUEL Your Life

Gina Charles After almost 4 years, I am so pleased to present my new book, FUEL Your Life, A 4-Point Practice To Spiritual Awakening. I have written it with the hope that whoever reads it, comes away with self-empowerment greater than they have known.

Writing it became an invaluable practice of surrender for me. I learned that when I relinquished the mind’s desire to create something, that I witnessed the book become something. It took awhile for my mind to learn that the magical journey begins when the mind shows up and asks, “How can I help, how can I serve?”  There were two ways to write this book. Now I know, and I practice living at the ready. Let the magic begin. ;)
