Which Reality Are You Experiencing?

2 Ways

thought-bubbleI’ve noticed that in this place of duality, there are 2 ways to do, be or have everything, because we have 2 states of being. We are either Aware of our bigger picture, or we are submersed in unnoticed, unexamined thoughts and beliefs.

The Duality of Magic Wands

What is the duality of our Awareness?

human-experThe duality of this human experience is Consciousness and unconsciousness. When I am awake and aware, noticing, witnessing the stream of mental talkity-talk, I am lucid, I am Conscious, I am Awake, I am on.

When I am no longer witnessing the stream of mental commentary and become submerged in it, I am sleepwalking, unconscious, I’m off. I forget that I am not my mind-made identity, that I am Something much greater. I forget that I’m in a benevolent construct, a lucid dream that’s waiting at the ready for me to awaken to my best life. When I’m off, unconscious, I forget who I am, where I am, and how this place works.

Well That Explains A lot

So our attention, or what we put our focus on in the “off” state, in unconsciousness, while we are submersed in unnoticed, unexamined thought, is what we get more of in our lives. Huh. That’s like running with scissors and one shoe lace untied. But don’t despair, because….

Our Attention, in Consciousness, is a magic wand in a field of infinite possibility.

Authentic Living with Gina Charles - Your focus is your magic wand

It is an enchanted paintbrush, manifesting a human adventure that surpasses the mind’s limited imaginings.

Recognizing the duality of your magic wand will change your life experience.

Use the power of your Lucid Attention.

You’re Awakened state is the magic and the mind’s focus is the wand.

Wield your powers for good. ;)

Authentic Living and Spiritual Growth with Gina Charles - Your Awakened focus is your magic wand.

Change Your Reality

There is only Consciousness and unconsciousness.

The Human Experience, an illustration from the book FUEL Your Life by Gina Charles - Thought vs. Reality

We are either Awake, witnessing thought while it happens, or we are sleepwalking, having and believing unnoticed, unexamined thought at the same time it happens.

We are either Lucid, or we are submerged in thought unawares.

These thoughts and beliefs create our

reality, and how we experience our lives.

Right now. Try this:

  • Unclench your teeth.

  • Relax your shoulders.

  • Notice and loosen all contracted muscles.

  • Take 1 slow, deep, relaxing breath.

Doesn’t that feel better? If you were able to do any of the above, know that you were undoing what unnoticed, unexamined thought caused. If you sat here reading this and didn’t notice that your teeth were clenched, or your shoulders were up around your ears, or your muscles contracted, or whatever other uncomfortable, unnoticed thing was happening, those are sign posts, taps on the shoulder, that you were unconscious. Unnoticed, unexamined thought preceded your uncomfortable physical state. Imagine that.

When we notice thought, we wake up to the bigger picture and free ourselves.

EMPOWERMENT: Today I will be the Eyewitness to thought, cutting the strings of unconsciousness and stepping out into the field of infinite possibilities.

Authentic Living and Spiritual Awakening with Gina Charles - wake up out of thought into the joy of Reality

Snip, snip! ;)

Living Life Once Removed

thought

Living submersed in thought unawares, becomes a barrier between me and a direct connection with my life experience. It is a veil between me and the people, places and things in my life. It is what I call “living life once removed.” It is living life inauthentically, or through the collective beliefs and learned behaviors of the thinking mind. Even when those learned behaviors no longer benefit me,or feel good.

When you realize that you are the eyewitness to your stories, as opposed to living submersed in them, you are Awake.

The thoughts themselves are not detrimental. In fact, the actual thoughts are more like floating butterflies, or clouds passing across the sky, or leaves drifting down a river. The detriment of thought lies in believing it. When you realize that you are the eyewitness to your stories, as opposed to living submersed in them, you are Awake. Welcome home.

The Game Of Life

I asked myself, where am I? What’s the point of this thing I call life? I now realize that this place is a benevolent construct. It’s a playground, a classroom, a game. The objective is to find all the pieces of myself, hidden in plain sight.

Seems like a fairly easy game I play with myself, except for a few variables: amnesia and sleepwalking. I pop into this dream with amnesia, I don’t remember that which I Am. In addition, I’m sleepwalking, submersed in my thoughts and beliefs, that most often do not coincide with this reality. It’s like sleepwalking in the dark, with no memory.

To awaken, is to step outside of thought. It is to be present in the moment, with no narrative soundtrack in my head. It is to experience life outside of the bubble of thought, or the filter of beliefs. When I am able to have this human experience directly, free from unnecessary thought, I am living Authentically. When I have this human experience submersed in thought, sleepwalking, unaware of what and where I am, I am living inauthentically, or what I refer to as, once removed.

The more I stay Awake, the easier I find my Truths, hidden in plain site.

Are you practicing this game of life Aware, or unaware? ….Let’s play. :)

Hungry?

A hungry man told me he was starving. I made him a sandwich. Others made sandwiches. The hungry man collected up a bunch of sandwiches. Now, he had sandwiches….and he wondered why he was still starving.

I can make you a sandwich, but only you can eat it.

To experience the affects of food, I must eat, and digest it. To experience the affects of spiritual knowledge, I must eat and digest it. Collecting spiritual information is like collecting sandwiches and then starving to death.

Eating spiritual knowledge is the equivalent to collecting it. Digesting spiritual knowledge is the equivalent to experiencing a realization. Go beyond the analytical concept into an experience of visceral knowing, from a perspective previously unseen. You will find yourself in a vast, silent space of knowing, with a bigger picture that goes beyond words.

Bon appetit!

The Pond

If we don’t realize there is a shore (Consciousness) we spend our lives swimming back and forth between the feel-bad and the feel-good side of life.  -Gina Charles

I’ve designated three areas of the pond. There is the inner circle, the outer circle, and the shore. The inner circle contains the dark, cold, feel-bad waters. This is not a good swim, and when we are there we really don’t want to be. The inner circle is filled with life events we label “bad” or “painful.”

The outer circle of the pond contains the clear, warm, feel-good water. This is where we all want to be. The outer circle of the pond is filled with life events we label “good” or “happy.”

Both the inner and outer circles represent the thinking mind.

Lastly, there’s the shore. The shore is Consciousness. It is where we find our abundant, everlasting well of Source. It is where your Higher Self/Soul is holding the compass to your best life.

If we don’t realize there is a shore (Consciousness) we spend our lives swimming back and forth between the feel-bad and the feel-good side of life where discomfort, as well as happiness, is a temporary experience.

I’ll meet you on the Shore. ;)

What Is Mindful Living?

The very tool we have to rewire, observe, enhance or wake up from the thinking mind, is the thinking mind! …The good news is, the thinking mind can do that.  -Gina Charles

What is mindful living? Mindful living is honing the skill of staying Awake, and enjoying an Awakened life experience.

What is an Awakened life experience? An Awakened life experience is one that differentiates between being submersed in thought, sleepwalking through life, and not.

When I’m able to notice my thoughts as the Observer, and not fall unconsciously submersed into them, I’m Awake, I’m Aware.

When I’m able to experience life outside of the filter of the thinking mind, I’m having a direct life experience. I’m Awake, I’m Aware. When I experience life through the filter of the thinking mind, I’m living life inauthentically, or once removed.

Join me in living mindfully, and enjoying an enhanced life experience. I will stay awake with you.

Wake Up To Your Life

Through inquiry we have the ability to see through our untrue thoughts, and thus free ourselves from being submersed in the unconsciousness of the thinking mind. We are able to free ourselves from the pain and suffering. ….It’s like being handcuffed and then realizing the key to those handcuffs was in the palm of our hand the whole time. We just forgot we had the key.  -Gina Charles

The Crazy Train

When the mind is unconsciously submersed in unquestioned thought, it’s similar to being on a train that’s traveling so fast, that the outside scenery (Reality) is blurred.

It’s no wonder we feel tense, anxious, pressured, fearful or just plain wiped out. I’m tired just from talking about it. Realize when you’re on the Crazy Train. Then get the hell off. Jump if you have to. How? Get Present. Getting Present is the equivalent of pulling the emergency brake.  -Gina Charles
