Which Reality Are You Experiencing?

I've noticed that in this place of duality, there are 2 ways to do, be or have everything, because we have 2 states of being. We are either Aware of our bigger picture, or we are submersed in unnoticed, unexamined thoughts and beliefs.

The Messenger

Luckily, the messenger of  feel-bad shows up unfailingly, to help wake us up out of our complete association to thought.

Wake Up!

We view reality through our personal filters. We view reality through the filters of our past, our fears, beliefs, and our identity, to name a few. Viewing life through the thinking mind is to experience our version of reality. It’s like experiencing life once removed.

Today I intend to notice the messenger of feel-bad, and recognize it as a tap on the shoulder to help wake me up to the Reality of my bigger picture. From an awakened state, the state of being from where I am watching thought as it happens, allows me to step outside the confines of thought and to perceive my surroundings with a quiet mind. Experiencing our surroundings in unconditional acceptance and a silent mind is to see the real reality and to experience life directly.

Practice lucidity a few minutes each day. Practice being present in the moment, perceiving your surroundings without any opinion or judgement from the mind. The more you do it, the easier and more enjoyable it gets. Pretty soon you realize it’s the only way to fly!
