Turn On That Light!

I am not my thinking mind, I am the Lucidity behind it. If I keep the spotlight of my focus on staying Lucid, or Present, then I’m awake and aware. In Presence, there is no suffering.Think of it like a lamp that you could turn on just by putting your focus on it. As long as you hold your focus on the lamp, the light stays on. You see everything clearly. The minute your focus becomes submersed in something else, your light goes out and now you’re in the dark. When we get submersed in our stories, we are in the dark. We are unconscious. Much like stumbling around in the dark, we experience uncertainty, anger and discomfort.Gently bringing my focus back to the present moment wakes me up. When my light is on, I can tell the difference between a rope and a snake...and that makes all the difference. ;)
